(Galesburg, IL)  –  A Galesburg man who authorities say set fire to the salt storage garage in Galesburg this past summer was in Knox County Circuit Court.  22-year old Nicholas D. Wells pleaded guilty to a charge of criminal damage to state property last Wednesday.  Authorities say that Wells set fire to the state facility in July.  He was sentenced to 90 days of jail time bit jas beem credited with serving 45 days.  He was also ordered to pay $500 in restitution.  With the plea bargain, an arson charge against Wells was dropped.
