(Galesburg, IL)  –  Beginning this weekend, the Knox County Health Department will start offering influenza vaccines.  The 11th annual drive thru vaccination clinic will take place at Hinchcliff-Pearson-West Funeral home located at 1070 West Fremont Street in Galeburg on Saturday.  The annual drive thru vaccination clinic is sponsored by the Knox County Health Department and it will take place from 7 a.m. until 10 a.m.  Beginning on September 24th, walk-in clinics will be offered at the health department.  The charge for an adult flu vaccine is $30 and children are $15.  High-dose flue vaccine for those 65 and older are $45.  A pneumonia vaccine is $75.  The health department accepts Medicare Part B, Medicaid, All Kids, cash or check.  Officials with the health department say they cannont accept credit or debit cards or Advantage Plans.  If you would like more information about the flue vaccine or how to protect yourself or your family from the flu you should contact your family physician or the Knox County Health Department by calling 1-309-344-2224.
