(Galesburg, IL) – The man who is accused of murdering Terrell Allen in August has been indicted by a Knox County Grand Jury. 30-year old Jermene Jermaine Carter of Monmouth was indicted on Monday. He has been cahrged with four counts of first degree murder, aggravated discharge of a firearm and unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon. Police say that Carter shot Allen several times in a drive-by shooting that occurred on August 27th. A second man was in court on Monday in connection with the death of Allen. 38-year old Barry Jerome Fletcher of Galesburg has been charged with unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon, unlawful possession of firearm ammunition by a felon as well as two counts of obstruction of justice. Fletcher is being held on a $750,000 bond, while Carter is being held on a $1-million bond. Both are being held in the Knox County Jail in Galesburg. |
