(Galesburg, IL) – A Knoxville farmer got quite the surprise when his combine exploded after it caught fire on Tuesday. The Knoxville Fire Department responded to the fire and had it put out in less than an hour. Myron Shreeves was working on the combine when it caught fire. He was attempting to put out the fire when it exploded, knocking him back about 10 feet after it exploded. The fire and explosion, destroyed the combine, causing an estimated $200,000 in damage. Shreeve's is now trying to rent a combine to be able to complete his harvest. |
