(Galesburg, IL) – Residents spoke up in regard to concers to the Seminary Street Development that is being proposed. Some concerns that were addressed were access to the residential area by the developer according to Galesburg Mayor Sale Garza. A four-story hotel is being proposed along with 16 duplexes and a strip mall. A lot of residents in the Costa subdivision remain opposed to the new development project because they want to see more transparancy. The proposed development got its first green light on September 18th at the Galesburg Planning and Zoning Commission meeting. Council is tentatively set to have a final vote on the matter at their October 15th council meeting. |
