(Galesburg, IL)  –  Two railroad crossings in Galesburg will be closing on a permanent basis and will be part of the Quiet Zone Project.  Those crossings are North Cherry Street and North West Street.  The BNSF crossings on those two streets are now closed and are on the old Sante Fe Line. Temporary closing signs have been installed.  Permanent ones will be installed before spring.  The closing of the crossings occurred on October 31st.
