(Galesburg, IL)  –  An Aledo man was in Knox County Circuit Court to be sentenced in regard to his participation in the production of meth.  40-year old Brian E. Horkstrom entered a guilty plea to charges of partcipation in methamphetamine production and possession of methamphetamine.  Horkstrom was then sentenced to eight years of jail time.  As part of a plea bargain, several charges were dropped, including charges of aggravated participation in meth manufacturing, possession of meth manufacturing chemicals, unlawful procurement of a meth precursory, unlawful possession of anhydrous ammonia and unlawful use of property.  Horkstrom, along with two women, one from Galesburg and one from Abingdon, were arrested in May.
