(Galesburg, IL) -- The man who sold heroin to two men who died of drug overdoeses following their purchase was sentenced in Knox County Circuit Court earlier this week. 25-year old Donald R. Murray was arrested and charged with posession of 10-15 grams of heroin with intent to deliver, unlawful possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, two counts of possession of a controlled substance and one count of possession of a schedule IV substance. 26-year old Daniel A. Hall and 19-year old Benjamin J. Fritz died on January 17th in 2009 following a party that was being held at Fritz's home. Murray entered a guilty plea in May of this year to unlawful possession of heroin with intent to deliveer. He was sentenced to the maximum sentence. Murray will spend 15-years in prison. |
