(Galesburg, IL)  --  Authorities in Galesburg believe that several burglaries that have taken place within a 3-mile readius could be conntected.  Galesburg police say that at least $3,000 of stolen property has been reported to authorities in just over a week.  The thefts have been reported after motor vehicles have been broken into.  The burglaries have occured on Beecher Avenue, North Chambers Street, North Arthur Avenue, Franklin Avenue and Lincoln Street.  Police say that residents should keep their vehicles locked, whether they be outside or in a garage.
