Carl Sandburg (6-4) lost at Southeastern Iowa 78-66 Thursday night. Southeastern led 37-28 at the half.  Mitch Wendling led Sandburg with 16 points. Sandburg will play Clinton Iowa College this Saturday at home, game time is 3 p.m.

“We had the lead down to 5 with 6:03 left to play and just couldn’t quite get over the hump. We’ve been in a little slump lately and it was great to see us put that behind us and play better tonight. We must continue to get better and grow as a team," said coach Ryan Twaddell.
