Travel is Extremely Dangerous at This Time!!!!

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

EAST MOLINE, IL (12-21-12 @ 11:30 a.m.) – Illinois State Police District Seven continues to insist travelers stay off the roads in this area.

Interstates and local roads for Henry, Knox, Mercer and Rock Island counties still remain ice covered. Due to extremely low temperatures the salt spread on roadways to combat this problem remains ineffectual.

TRAVEL AT THIS TIME IS NOT ADVISED!!!

Multiple vehicles of every variety have slid into the ditches and/or been involved in crashes. At this time there is not an estimation of how many vehicles have been involved.
