The Galesburg Silver Streak girls sophomore basketball team defeats Rock Island Alleman by 2 points, 41-39. The Streaks trailed by 4 at the halftime break but a 13-8 edge in the 3rd quarter put them ahead for good despite shooting just 4-7 from the free throw line in the 3rd quarter. Leading Galesburg in scoring was Shayli Florine with 12 points, Madison Ross with 9 and Macy Steck with 8. The Sophomore Streaks improve to (3-2) in the Western Big Six Conference and (10-3) overall.
