Finishing on a 10-1 run, the Galesburg Silver Streaks came from behind for a WB6 road victory at Wharton Fieldhouse with a 58-49 win over the Moline Maroons. Moline's only point in the stretch was on a free throw after Jessica Lieber was called for a technical foul with 1:42 to play that gave Moline the lead at 49-48.
Moline led 28-22 at halftime and led throughout much of the contest. Jessica Lieber hit three treys in the third quarter to help the Streaks regain the lead in the second half. She finished with 22 points. The Streaks went on an 8-0 run in the first 65 seconds of the second half to erase the halftime deficit.
Moline had 25 turnovers, Galesburg 14.
Morgan Gerard led the Maroons with 17 points. Sharron Diggins added 12 for the Streaks. Dani Teel was the First Glass Breakout Player of the Game with 7 points and several key defensive plays.
The Streaks improved to 14-6 overall and 4-2 in Conference play. The Maroons fell to 7-16m, 2-4 in the WB6.
The Galesburg Sophs lost 68-38 after trailing 20-4 early.
