The Abingdon Commandos defeated the Knoxville Blue Bullets in a very exciting game at Abingdon High School as Abingdon's Junior guard, Dane Brown, drove to the basket for the game winning layup with 11 seconds left to put the Commandos ahead. The Blue Bullets, Jordan Perry's desperation shot with .8 seconds remaining missed it's mark and the Commandoes celebrated a 52-50 Prairieland Conference win. Abingdon's victory moves them closer to the .500 mark at (7-10). The Blue Bullets drop to (10-8) on the season. Knoxville held a narrow 24-22 lead at the half as they forced 7 Commando turnovers in the second quarter. Knoxville extended their lead to 38-33 at the end of 3 but a furious Abingdon rally tied the game with 13.7 seconds left to set up the fantastic finish.
Nolan Lewis led a balanced Blue Bullet attack with 13 points. Noah Hummel had 11 points and Perry chipped in 10 points.
Abingdo was led, once again, by Zach Glisan, as he was the only commando in double figures with 21.
