The Galesburg Silver Streak Girl's basketball team won a Western Big six conference road game at Quincy High School. The Streaks led by 5 points, 41-36 midway through the 4th quarter and then the wheels fell off for the host Blue Devils. Quincy forward, Jordan Fletcher, received an technical foul for giving the Streaks, Dani Teel an intentional elbow, which forced Teel out of the game. Galesburg's Allison Mangieri made the ensuing 3 of the 4 free throws and the Streaks put away shortly after that for a 51-38 win. Galesburg, now (5-2) in league play, stayed in the Western Big Six Conference race and improved to (16-7) overall on the season. Quincy dropped to (1-6) in conference play and (9-10) overall. Galesburg's steady senior combination of Jessica Lieber and Sharron Diggins led the Streaks offensively with 16 and 9 points, respectively. Mangieri also chipped in with 9 points.
