Blackhawks Clip Red Wings In OT

(Chicago, IL)  --  Nick Leddy lit the lamp in overtime to send the Blackhawks to a 2-1 win over the visiting Red Wings.  Chicago is off to its best start in franchise history at 6-and-0.  Duncan Keith scored on the power play less than three minutes into the game while Corey Crawford made 29 saves for the victory.  The Hawks hit the road to play the Wild in Minnesota on Wednesday night.

Bulls Host Bobcats Tonight

(Chicago, IL)  --  The Bulls welcome the Charlotte Bobcats to the Madhouse on Madison this evening.  Chicago split a pair of games over the weekend.  The Bulls beat Golden State at home on Friday before falling to the Wizards in DC on Saturday.  Chicago is now 26-and-17 on the year.  Charlotte enters tonight's game at 11-and-32.

NFC Takes Pro Bowl Over AFC

(Honolulu, HI)  --  The NFC dominated the AFC in the Pro Bowl yesterday from Hawaii, 62-35.  Bears cornerback Tim Jennings had five tackles and Charles Tillman added four tackles and a pass defended.  Julius Peppers had two sacks while Henry Melton added a pass defended.  Bears wide receiver Brandon Marshall did not play due to injury.

White Sox Agree To One-Year Deal With Lindstrom

(Chicago, IL)  --  The White Sox have agreed to a one-year, 2.8-million-dollar contract with pitcher Matt Lindstrom.  The deal includes a club option for 2014.  The 32-year-old went 1-and-0 with a 2.68 ERA in 46 games last season while splitting time between the Baltimore Orioles and Arizona Diamondbacks.

Dr. Phil Snags Interview With Alleged Manti Te'o Hoaxer

(Los Angeles, CA)  --  Dr. Phil has reportedly landed the first TV interview with the man believed to be behind the Manti Te'o [[ MAN-tye  TAY-oh ]] girlfriend hoax.  Sources tell TV counselor Phil McGraw sat down with Ronaiah Tuiasosopo [[ Roe-NYE-ah  TOO-ee-ah-sah-SO-poh ]] for several hours Thursday in Los Angeles where they discussed Te'o's interview with Katie Couric.  The interview is expected to air sometime this week.

Illinois Falls To Michigan

(Champaign, IL)  --  Brandon Paul had 15 points but it wasn't enough as Illinois fell to Michigan yesterday, 74-60.  D.J. Richardson added 12 points with eight rebounds for the Fighting Illini, who fell to 15-and-6 with a 2-and-5 Big Ten record.  The Illini are off until Thursday when they hit the road to play Michigan State.

Wildcats Fall At Nebraska

(Lincoln, NE)  --  Nebraska used a big second half to pull away from Northwestern on Saturday, 64-49.  Dave Sobolewski had 21 points and six rebounds for the Wildcats, who dropped to 3-and-5 in the Big Ten with a 12-and-9 overall mark.  The Wildcats head to Ann Arbor on Wednesday to play Michigan.

Pitt Crushes DePaul

(Pittsburgh, PA)  --  DePaul was no match for Pittsburgh on Saturday, falling on the road to the Panthers, 93-55.  Brandon Young had 13 points for the Blue Demons, who dropped to 1-and-5 in the Big East and 10-and-9 overall.  The Demons hit the road to play St. John's on Wednesday.

Notre Dame Tops South Florida

(Tampa, FL)  --  Jerian Grant had 18 points and eight assists as Notre Dame took down South Florida on Saturday, 73-65.  Tom Knight added 17 points and seven rebounds as the Fighting Irish improved to 16-and-4 with a 4-and-3 Big East record.  The Irish return home to welcome Villanova on Wednesday.

Fire Open Preseason With Win

(Naples, FL)  --  The Fire started the preseason yesterday with a 2-0 win over Florida Gulf Coast University.  Dominic Oduro and Daniel Paladini each scored for Chicago.  The Fire resume the preseason against Columbus Crew in Bradenton, Florida on Wednesday morning.
