Blues Tame Wild In OT

(St. Louis, MO)  --  Vladimir Sobotka's overtime tally lifted the Blues past the Wild in St. Louis.  Wade Redden, Patrik Berglund, Chris Stewart and Barret Jackman all lit the lamp as well for St. Louis, which improved to 5-and-1.  Brian Elliott made 12 saves for the victory.  The Blues play at Columbus on Thursday.


Musial Laid To Rest


(St. Louis, MO)  --  Friends and family of Cardinals great Stan Musial gathered on Saturday at the St. Louis' Cathedral Basilica to honor his life.  MLB Commissioner Bud Selig and executive Joe Torre were among those in attendance.  Musial died on January 19th at the age of 92.

Illinois Falls To Michigan

(Champaign, IL)  --  Brandon Paul had 15 points but it wasn't enough as Illinois fell to Michigan yesterday, 74-60.  D.J. Richardson added 12 points with eight rebounds for the Fighting Illini, who fell to 15-and-6 with a 2-and-5 Big Ten record.  The Illini are off until Thursday when they hit the road to play Michigan State.

Mizzou Throttles Vandy


(Columbia, MO)  --  Jabari Brown had 21 points to lead Missouri to an 81-59 win over Vanderbilt on Saturday.  Alex Oriakhi added 18 points and 12 rebounds while Phil Pressey and Keion Bell each added 12 points in the win.  Mizzou moved to 4-and-2 in the SEC with a 15-and-4 overall record.  The Tigers play at LSU on Wednesday.

Saint Louis Upends St. Bonaventure

(St. Bonaventure, NY)  --  Dwayne Evans had 18 points and eight rebounds to lead Saint Louis in a 67-57 win over St. Bonaventure on Saturday.  SLU improved to 3-and-2 in Atlantic 10 play with a 14-and-5 overall record.  The Billikens host Butler on Thursday.

NFC Dominates AFC To Win Pro Bowl

(Honolulu, HI)  --  The NFC crushed the AFC in yesterday's Pro Bowl, 62-35.  Vikings tight end Kyle Rudolph had five catches for 122 yards and a touchdown as the game's MVP.  The Rams were one of three NFC teams not represented at the Pro Bowl, joining the Eagles and Panthers.
