Bettis, Williams Left Out Of HoF
(New Orleans, LA) -- A pair of former Rams were not elected into the Pro Football Hall of Fame over the weekend. Former Rams defensive back Aeneas Williams and running back Jerome Bettis were in the group of 15 finalists for the Hall, but did not make the final cut. A group of seven players were selected and will be inducted in August.
Blues Start Homestand Tomorrow
(St. Louis, MO) -- The Blues open a four-game homestand tomorrow night against the Nashville Predators. St. Louis lost at Detroit on Friday night, 5-3. The Note is now 6-and-2 on the season.
Illini Fall To Wisconsin
(Champaign, IL) -- Joseph Bertrand tallied 17 points and seven rebounds as the Illini fell to Wisconsin, 74-68. Brandon Paul chipped in with 13 points off the bench for Illinois, which dipped to 15-and-8 and 2-and-7 in the Big Ten. The Illini welcome third-ranked Indiana to town on Thursday.
Mizzou Handles Auburn
(Columbia, MO) -- Keion Bell had 24 points to lead Missouri in a 91-77 win over Auburn on Saturday. Earnest Ross added 23 points off the bench for Mizzou, which improved to 5-and-3 in the SEC with a 16-and-5 overall mark. The Tigers hit the road on Thursday to take on Texas A&M.
Saint Louis Pounds Dayton
(St. Louis, MO) -- Rob Loe had 17 points to lead Saint Louis in Saturday's 81-52 win over Dayton. Dwayne Evans added 15 points and seven boards for SLU, which moved to 16-and-5 with a 5-and-2 mark in the A-10. The Billikens travel to play Fordham on Wednesday.
