Ducks Edge Blackhawks In Shootout

Nick Leddy and Brandon Saad each lit the lamp for Chicago, which remains the NHL's only team without a loss in regulation. Bulls' Rose Not Returning Until He's 110-Percent
(Deerfield, IL) -- Bulls guard Derrick Rose is being cautious about his return from a torn ACL. He told "USA Today" he has no set date and that it won't be until he is 110-percent. Rose has been practicing and traveling with the team, leading to speculation he will start playing again after the All-Star break. The former league MVP says he is still far away, estimating his percentage of readiness in the high 80's.

Bears Terminate Contract Of WR Knox
(Lake Forest, IL) -- The Bears have terminated the contract of wide receiver Johnny Knox. He spent the 2012 season on the physically unable to perform list with a back injury. Knox was injured in a game against Seattle in December of 2011 and underwent spinal fusion surgery. The 26-year-old had 2,214 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns in 45 career games with the Bears, including 27 starts.
White Sox GM: No Restrictions On Sale
(Glendale, AZ) -- White Sox general manager Rick Hahn told reporters Tuesday that no restrictions would be placed on second-year starter Chris Sale this season. Sale was rested for an extra start three times last season after straining his elbow in May. He went 17-and-8 with a 3.05 ERA while striking out 192 hitters in 192 innings.
Illinois Hosts Purdue

Northwestern's Swopshire Lost For Season
(Columbus, OH) -- Northwestern senior forward Jared Swopshire is out for the rest of the season. The school announced that Swopshire underwent arthroscopic surgery on his right knee yesterday for an injury suffered in Saturday's game at Iowa. Northwestern is 13-and-11 with a 4-and-7 record in Big Ten play. The Wildcats take on Ohio State in Columbus tomorrow night.
