Bulls Fall To Celtics
(Boston, MA) -- The Celtics survived an eight-point third quarter and outlasted the Bulls 71-69 on Wednesday. The Bulls got double-doubles from Joakim Noah and Carlos Boozer. Noah finished with 10 points and 16 rebounds and Boozer 11 points and 11 boards. Chicago has lost four of five games and doesn't play until next Tuesday at New Orleans.
Bulls' Rose To Scrimmage After All-Star Game
(undated) -- According to an ESPNChicago report, Bulls guard Derrick Rose will take part in five-on-five practices with the team after this weekend's NBA All-Star Game. The team wants to see how Rose will respond as he continues his recovery from ACL surgery last May. Chicago executive vice president John Paxson remains hopeful that Rose will play this season.
Blackhawks At Home For Sharks

Illinois Blows Out Purdue
(Champaign, IL) -- Illinois rolled to a 79-59 win over Purdue in Big Ten basketball action last night. D.J. Richardson led the way for the Fighting Illini with 18 points. The Illini won their third straight following upsets of two ranked teams last week. Illinois is 5-and-7 in the Big Ten and 18-and-8 overall and is at Northwestern on Sunday.
Irish Get By DePaul
(South Bend, IN) -- Number-21 Notre Dame edged DePaul last night, 82-78, in overtime. Jerian Grant led the Fighting Irish with 21 points and nine assists and Eric Atkins added 13 points and nine assists. Jack Cooley scored 16 points to go with 10 rebounds. The Irish moved to 7-and-4 in Big East play and 20-5 overall. The Blue Demons got 23 points from Cleveland Melvin and fell to 10-and-14 with a 1-and-10 record in conference.
Northwestern Hopes For Upset
(Columbus, OH) -- Northwestern is 13-and-11 with a 4-and-7 record in Big Ten play. The Wildcats have lost three of their last four games. They take on 14th-ranked Ohio State in Columbus tonight.
