Bulls' Rose Takes Part In More Drills
(Deerfield, IL) -- Bulls guard Derrick Rose took another step in his recovery from an ACL tear yesterday. Rose participated in five-on-five drills for the first time since the injury. He had been taking part in contact drills for weeks, but worked out in a full scrimmage during practice yesterday.

Cubs' Garza To Have MRI
(Mesa, AZ) -- Cubs pitcher Matt Gaza will undergo an MRI to diagnose the severity of a lat injury he suffered in his first throwing session on Sunday. Garza says he threw about 20 pitches before feeling "something" on his left side that he first thought to be a cramp. Garza was 5-and-7 with a 3.91 ERA last season but missed the second half with an elbow injury.
Cubs Deal Campana To D-Backs
(Mesa, AZ) -- The Cubs have sent outfielder Tony Campana to the Arizona Diamondbacks for a pair of pitching prospects. Campana hit .264 with five RBI and 30 stolen bases last season for Chicago. He was designated for assignment earlier this month. The Cubs receive 17-year-old right-handers Jesus Castillo and Erick Leal in the swap.
White Sox Start Spring Games Saturday

(Pittsburgh, PA) -- Jack Cooley had 13 points and nine rebounds to lift Notre Dame to a 51-42 win over 22nd-ranked Pittsburgh last night. Jerian Grant added 13 points as well for the 25th-ranked Fighting Irish, who moved to 21-and-6 with a 9-and-5 Big East record. The Irish are off until Sunday when they host Cincinnati.
Northwestern Hosts Wisconsin Tomorrow
