(Chicago, IL) -- Blackhawks right wing Marian Hossa is resting after taking a forearm to the back of his head from Vancouver's Jannik Hansen in the third period of Tuesday's game. The "Chicago Sun-Times" reported an update on Hossa's condition is expected today. Hansen was suspended for one game and fines 7 thousand, 297 dollars and 30 cents by the NHL.

(Washington, DC) -- The Blue Demons couldn't keep up with number-11 Georgetown in a 90-66 loss to the Hoyas. That's 10 losses in the past 11 games for DePaul. Brandon Young led DePaul in scoring with 16 points. The Demons are 11-and-15 overall and 2-and-11 in the Big East.
Illinois In Action Tonight
(Champaign, IL) -- Illinois returns to the hardwood tonight. The Fighting Illini will host Penn State at Assembly Hall. The Illini beat Northwestern on Sunday to move to 19-and-8 with a 6-and-7 record in Big Ten play. Penn State is the only Big Ten squad without a conference win at 0-and-13.
Fire Get Preseason Win
(Charleston, SC) -- The Chicago Fire overcame a 1-0 deficit with goals by Austin Berry and Alex to defeat the Charleston Battery 2-1. Alex's goal came in the 92nd minute. The Fire have six points in two games of the Carolina Challenge Cup and can win it with a win or draw against Vancouver on Saturday.
