Cards Fall To Red Sox
(Jupiter, FL) -- Allen Craig and Rafael Furcal both made appearances as designated hitters in the Cardinals' 5-3 loss to the Red Sox yesterday. Furcal went 0-for-2 while Craig had an RBI single in one of his two at-bats. Daniel Descalso hit a solo homer in the loss. The Redbirds take on the Astros in Jupiter this afternoon.
Blues Off Until Thursday
(St. Louis, MO) -- The Blues have a few more days before hitting the ice. St. Louis will take on the Blackhawks this Thursday night at Scottrade Center. The Note beat Columbus 2-1 on Saturday night at home. The victory moved the Blues to 10-6-and-2 on the year.
Rams Officials Continue Work At Combine
(Indianapolis, IN) -- Rams coaches and front office staff remained at work during the NFL Combine from Indianapolis this weekend. The team got a look at the top quarterbacks, running backs and wide receivers yesterday. Today defensive lineman and linebackers take the stage. The event wraps up tomorrow.
Mizzou Falls At Kentucky
(Lexington, KY) -- Phil Pressey's 27 points and 10 assists were not enough as Missouri fell in overtime at Kentucky on Saturday, 90-83. Alex Oriakhi added 16 points and 15 rebounds for Mizzou, which fell to 19-and-8 with an 8-and-6 record in SEC play. The Tigers play at South Carolina on Thursday.
Illini Fall At Michigan
(Ann Arbor, MI) -- Brandon Paul had 10 points and four rebounds but Illinois lost at Michigan yesterday, 71-58. D.J. Richardson and Tracy Abrams also scored 10 points for the Fighting Illini, who dropped to 20-and-9 with a 7-and-8 record in the Big Ten. The Illini host Nebraska on Saturday.
SLU Upends Butler
(Indianapolis, IN) -- Saint Louis stayed on a roll Friday night, defeating Butler 65-61. It was the ninth straight win for the Billikens, who moved to 10-and-2 in Atlantic 10 play. SLU is now 21-and-5 overall. The Billikens host Saint Joseph's on Wednesday night.
