Rams' Jackson To Void Contract
(St. Louis, MO) -- Running back Steven Jackson's career with the St. Louis Rams could be coming to an end. The "St. Louis Post-Dispatch" reports the 29-year-old will void the final year of his contract and become a free agent when the new league year starts on March 12th. Jackson is scheduled to make seven-million-dollars for the 2013 season. He has eclipsed the one-thousand yard mark for eight straight seasons and rushed for over 10-thousand yards with 56 touchdowns in his career.
Cards Cruise Past Astros
(Jupiter, FL) -- The Cardinals got their first win of spring training Monday, a 10-2 pasting of the Houston Astros. Allen Craig had two hits, two runs batted in and scored three runs to lead the Birds. Adam Wainwright did not allow a hit in two-and-a-third innings of his start. The Cards play Boston today in Fort Myers.
