(Fort Myers, FL) -- The Cardinals got two shutout innings from starter Jaime [[ HIGH-may ]] Garcia in a 15-4 win over the Boston Red Sox in spring training yesterday. Tony Cruz and Ryan Jackson each drove in three runs. The Redbirds moved to 2-and-2 and play the New York Mets in Port St. Lucie today.
Blues In Action Tomorrow
(St. Louis, MO) -- The Blues hit the ice tomorrow night at home. St. Louis will take on the Central Division-leading Chicago Blackhawks. The Blues are 10-6-and-2 on the year and have lost two of their last three games but have three points the past two.
Two Blue Players Hurt In Practice
(St. Louis, MO) -- Veterans Andy McDonald and Alex Steen were injured in the same drill in practice yesterday, the "St. Louis Post-Dispatch" reported. McDonald suffered a leg injury. Steen lost his helmet in a scrum. Coach Ken Hitchcock said he'd have an update on the two players today.
Mizzou To Play Gamecocks
(Columbia, MO) -- Missouri hits the road this week to play South Carolina. The Tigers have alternated wins and losses the past four games. They are 19-and-8 with an 8-and-6 record in SEC play.
Illini With One Game This Week
(Ann Arbor, MI) -- Once a top-10 team, Illinois gets a few days off to forget the loss to Michigan last week. The Fighting Illini are 20-and-9 with a 7-and-8 record in the Big Ten. The Illini host Nebraska on Saturday.
