NHL Faces Realignment Decision
(New York, NY) -- The NHL is mulling a proposal for a new four-division look to the league. The plan features four division rather than six and allows wild card playoff spots. Chicago would land in the Midwest Division along with Colorado, Dallas, Minnesota, Nashville, St. Louis and Winnipeg. Detroit would move from the Western Conference to the EaSt.
Blackhawks Face Blues Tomorrow
(St. Louis, MO) -- The Blackhawks look to keep their record-breaking streak going tomorrow night in St. Louis against the Blues. Chicago is without a regulation loss in an NHL-record 19 straight games to start the season. The 'Hawks have suffered just three shootout losses to sit at 16-0-and-3. St. Louis is 10-6-and-2 on the season.
Bears Could Push To Keep Roach
(Chicago, IL) -- The Bears could be looking to sure up their linebacking corps without Brian Urlacher. ESPN reports the Bears will make a strong push to keep unrestricted free agent Nick Roach. The six-year veteran strong side linebacker filled in for Urlacher at middle linebacker for the final four games last season. Urlacher is also a free agent.
Jackson Has Strong Cubs Debut
(Mesa, AZ) -- Edwin Jackson tossed two scoreless innings in the Cubs' 4-2 victory over the Colorado Rockies yesterday. The 29-year-old inked a four-year, 52-million-dollar deal with Chicago in the offseason. Christian Villanueva and Dave Sappelt clubbed homers for the Cubbies, who moved to 3-and-1 in the spring. The Cubs host the Dodgers today in Mesa.
Bats Shine As White Sox Pound Texas
(Surprise, AZ) -- The White Sox bashed out 13 hits on their way to a 14-8 win over the Rangers yesterday. Josh Phegley hit a solo homer while Connor Gillaspie was 2-for-3 with four RBI. Nestor Molina pitched two scoreless innings for the win as the Sox moved to 2-and-0 with a pair of ties this spring. The ChiSox rematch the Rangers in Glendale this afternoon.

Northwestern returns to action tomorrow night hosting 15th-ranked Ohio State. Illinois is home on Saturday to face Nebraska. Also Saturday, number-20 Notre Dame travels to face 22nd-ranked Marquette.
