Leaders of the Warren Henderson Farm Bureau reacted to the release of the names of Concentrated Animal Farming Operation (CAFO) producers by the EPA after three groups served the EPA with Freedom of Information Act requests. According to information posted on agfax.com FOIA requests  were granted to the Pew Charitable Trust, the Natural Resources Defense Council and Earth Justice. Carol Ricketts of the WHFB comments:

Information posted on various ag industry websites indicated that the EPA dropped a proposed CAFO reporting rule in July 2012 that would have required animal producers to provide a wide array of information about their operations directly to EPA, in part the information was intended to aid the EPA in monitoring water contamination. Instead, the EPA collected the information from existing state-based sources, but according to the agency that made the information subject to FOIA requests.
