Galesburg, IL (March 14, 2013) Today at 1:56 am Galesburg police officers responded to a report of a person who had been shot at 484 Olive St, Galesburg. On arrival officers located a victim of a single gunshot wound in the basement of the residence. Victim was identified as Isaiah J. Stevenson DOB-04/07/94 (18 years of age) 1173 Brown Ave, Galesburg. Victim was transported from the scene to Galesburg Cottage Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Investigation into the incident led to the arrest of Cody J Delacruz DOB-09/16/92 (20 years of age) 484 Olive St, Galesburg for Involuntary Manslaughter. Delacruz is currently being held in Knox County Law Enforcement Center awaiting initial court appearance. The investigation continues.
