Hit-And-Run Driver Strikes Child

(St. Louis, MO)  --  Police are looking for the driver who hit a five-year-old child then fled the scene.  According to KMOV-TV, the boy was running between parked cars at Lexington and Warnee yesterday when he was struck.  The child was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.  The suspect vehicle is described as a gold SUV or truck.

Police Pursuit Leads To Crash

(St. Louis, MO)  --  Three people, including a child, were hurt when a cop in pursuit of a suspect crashed into their car.  It happened yesterday afternoon near Forest Park Parkway and Skinker.  The officer began chasing the suspects, who were later arrested, at Benton and North Jefferson.  The officer wasn't injured.

Man Responding To Craigslist Ad Shot

(St. Louis, MO)  --  A man looking to buy a car ended up getting shot instead.  The victim was responding to an ad he saw on Craigslist when he went to a home on Elmbank in North City last night.  As he was driving by, he says two men approached and opened fire, hitting him several times.  Police don't have suspects or a motive at this time.  The victim's condition is unknown.

Suspected Food Tamperer Arrested

(Manchester, MO)  --  Manchester Police have arrested the suspect in an alleged case of food tampering.  The man turned himself in yesterday.  He admits shopping in a Dierbergs grocery store last Friday, the same day surveillance video showed a man putting something into a container of soup at the salad bar.  However, the unidentified suspect says he didn't do anything to the soup.  He was booked and released from jail.

Metro East Man Faces Charges Over Foreign Botox

(Alton, IL)  --  A Metro East businessman is accused of distributing millions of dollars in foreign Botox.  A federal grand jury in Missouri's Western District handed down the indictment yesterday against 47-year-old Christopher Carstens, the owner of Orthopaedic Solutions Inc.  Prosecutors say the business distributed nearly six-thousand units of the foreign drug.

New Suspects Linked To Former Missouri Prison Chief's Murder

(El Paso County, CO)  --  New suspects are linked to a former Missouri prison chief's murder.  Tom Clements was gunned down last month at his Colorado home.  He switched to head their prison system in 2011.  Clements' hard nosed actions against prison gangs, specifically "211 Crew," was reportedly what may have led to his demise.  

Senator Hopes To Oust SIU Trustees

(Springfield, IL)  --  A local Senator hopes to oust SIU's Board of Trustees.  According to the "Belleville News Democrat," a tumultuous meeting yesterday was in part what prompted Senator Bill Haine to make the announcement.  He reportedly said he was going to pursue a bill eliminating the current board giving Governor Quinn a clean slate.    

Final Chapter In Ellisville Mayor's Impeachment Hearing

(Ellisville, MO)  --  The final chapter in Ellisville mayor's impeachment hearing is scheduled for Monday.  The council is expected to make a decision following three days of testimony that wrapped up last night.  The group has been at odds for months over proposed TIF's for a new Walmart.      

CVS Fined Historic Penalty

(Washington, DC)  --  CVS Pharmacy is facing a historic 11-million-dollar penalty.  It's one of the largest settlements ever handed down for violations to the "Controlled Substance Act."  The case originated at the chain's retail outlets in Oklahoma.           

Active Military Get New Lambert Pre-Check

(St. Louis, MO)  --  Active Military now have a new Lambert Airport pre-check.  All active duty personnel are invited to use the pre-screening currently available in Terminal one.  This will help expedite soldiers traveling through St. Louis.  Only a handful of airports across the country currently offer the service to Armed Forces members. 

Local Casino Plans Billboard Stunt

(St. Louis County, MO)  --  A local casino is planning a billboard stunt during this morning's drive.  "Mirror Man" will be dancing high atop Hollywood Casino's sign on northbound 1-270 at I-70 from 7 to 9 a.m.  The promotion is to highlight "Boogie Nights," a new club geared toward the 70's and 80's.

New Players Announced For Senior PGA Championship


(St. Louis, MO)  --  New players are announced for Bellerive's upcoming Senior PGA Championship.  U.S. Ryder Club Captain Tom Watson is added to the field list along with '92 PGA Championship winner Nick Price.  The 74th Senior PGA Championship will be held May 21st through the 26th, at Bellerive Country Club.
