Customers of Pawn Plus in Macomb are in for a special treat on Saturday, April 27 when Seth Gold will be on site to meet hardcore fans of the number one show on truTV, Hardcore Pawn.
Seth Gold has worked full-time at American Jewelry and Loan since graduating from the University of Michigan in 2003. Seth works alongside his sister, Ashley Broad and his father, Les Gold, who is a third generation pawnbroker. Their store, American Jewelry and Loan in the heart of Detroit, is the subject of truTV’s top-rated show, Hardcore Pawn.
Seth is known for being a smart businessman whose mission is to bring a modern structure and approach to marketing to the business that his father has grown over the past 40 years. Seth prides himself on bringing a modern, corporate structure to this family business, which often drives his father crazy and causes conflict with his sister. Their interactions with one another and the pawn shop’s customers are the focus of the show, which averaged nearly three million weekly viewers in its sixth season. The event will be held on Saturday, April 27.from 10 a.m.until 3 p.m.. Pawn Plus is located at 324 West Jackson Street in Macomb, between Ayerco and Taco Bell. The event is being held to help raise funds for Project Graduation at the Macomb High School. Project Graduation is an activity for the 2013 graduates of Macomb High School to give them a fun and safe environment to celebrate their accomplishment. This year the graduates will be traveling to Scotty’s Fun Spot in Quincy. The funds raised through this event will help to offset the cost associated with the travel, meals and admissions. Pawn Plus will be donating 10% of all sales made that day to Project Graduation. Customers giving a cash donation of $10 or more may have their photo taken with Seth Gold and autographed by him. To help in raising as much money as possible Pawn Plus will have every item in the store on sale. The public is invited to attend, whether they want to buy, sell, pawn, or just browse.
