>>Phillies Use Late Flurry To Beat Cardinals
(Philadelphia, PA) -- Eric Kratz hit a three-run homer in a four-run eighth inning as the Phillies defeated the visiting Cardinals, 7-3. Matt Carpenter hit a solo homer while David Freese and Allen Craig each drove in a run for St. Louis. Mitchell Boggs allowed all four runs in the eighth to take the loss. The Cards are now 10-and-8 on the year. The Cardinals start a three-game road set with Washington tonight.
>>Brewers Win Seventh Straight With Sweep Of Cubs
(Milwaukee, WI) -- Ryan Braun belted a three-run homer as the Brewers won their seventh straight with a 4-2 win and series sweep over the Cubs at Miller Park. Anthony Rizzo hit a two-run homer for the Cubs, who have dropped six of their last seven. Scott Feldman allowed four runs, just one earned, in five frames as he fell to 0-and-3. The Cubs start a three-game road series in Cincinnati tonight.

(Denver, CO) -- Jamie McGinn had two goals and an assist to help the Avalanche to a 5-3 win over the visiting Blues last night at Pepsi Center. David Backes had a goal and an assist while Kevin Shattenkirk and Jaden Schwartz also lit the lamp for St. Louis. Brian Elliott was pulled after allowing four goals on 19 shots. Jake Allen stopped 11-of-12 shots in relief as The Note saw its three-game winning streak end. The Blues and Avs play in St. Louis tomorrow.
>>Starters Win MU Spring Game
(Columbia, MO) -- The Missouri starters defeated the Tiger Two team 21-14 on Saturday in the annual Black and Gold Game. James Franklin was 9-of-15 for 80 yards for the Mizzou One roster. The Tiger team started the game with a 14-0 lead but could not hold on after Marcus Murphy and Henry Josey scored on the ground to tie it up. Andrew Stevens scored the game-winning rushing touchdown with under a minute left the fourth.
