Blues Set To Battle Kings

Kings won all three of their games this season with the Blues, extending their winning streak to eight against St. Louis. That includes a sweep of their second-round playoff series last spring.
Bucs Blank Cards In Rubber Match
(St. Louis, MO) -- Russell Martin homered twice and drove in three as the Pirates blanked the Cardinals 9-0 in the rubber game of a weekend series at Busch Stadium. Shelby Miller struck out seven over five-and-two-thirds innings, but allowed three runs to suffer the loss and fall to 3-and-2. The Cards managed just three hits in their second straight loss. St. Louis launches a three-game set with the Reds starting tonight.
Cubs Fail To Sweep Marlins
(Miami, FL) -- Carlos Villanueva gave up four runs in six innings as the Cubs lost to the Marlins, 6-4. Dioner Navarro hit a solo homer while Starlin Castro was 2-for-4 with two RBI in the loss. Despite the setback, Chicago took three-of-four from Miami over the weekend. The Cubbies return home tonight to start a four-game series with the San Diego Padres at Wrigley Field.
Rams Close Out Draft Selecting CB McGee and RB Stacy
(St. Louis, MO) -- The Rams wrapped up this year's NFL Draft taking Miami cornerback Brandon McGee and Vanderbilt running back Zac Stacy. McGee started all 12 games at defensive back for the Canes, tying for sixth on the team with 54 tackles. Stacy was third in the SEC with over 11-hundred yards rushing as a senior with 10 touchdowns.
Former MIzzou Tigers Drafted Into NFL
(Columbia, MO) -- Several former Missouri Tigers got picked up in the 2013 draft. Sheldon Richardson went 13th to the Jets and Zaviar Gooden was picked up 97th overall by Tennessee. As far as undrafted free agents, The Patriots took T.J. Moe and Kendial Lawrence went to the Cowboys. Elvis Fisher heads to the Pats, Brad Madison to the Chiefs, Kenronte Walker the Browns, Kip Edwards to the Bills and Jared McGriff-Culver gets a tryout with Oakland.
