Police Investigate Possibility Teacher Had More Victims
(St. Louis, MO) -- St. Louis Police want to know if there are more victims, now that a teacher has been charged with having sex with a student. Thirty-two-year-old David Marler has been suspended from his job at Soldan International Studies High School. A student told police last week Marler had sex with him at a house near the school, and gave him some sort of inhalant that made him dizzy. Anyone with information is asked to call police.
Woman Arrested In Hit-And-Run
(St. Louis, MO) -- A woman has been arrested in connection with a hit-and-run accident that's left an elderly man in critical condition. The 86-year-old man was trying to cross at the intersection of Natural Bridge and North Newstead yesterday when he was struck by a speeding car. The driver fled the scene, but was taken into custody a few blocks away. Charges have yet to be filed against the 21-year-old suspect.
ESL Police Look For Murder Suspects
(East St. Louis, IL) -- Metro East police are looking for two men wanted in connection with a murder. James Sparks was gunned down earlier this month in East St. Louis. Now cops want to talk to Ronald Witherspoon and Mario Conrad about his death. The suspects, both 33-years-old, are known to frequent the Edgemont area.
Man Drives Car Through Building
(Country Club Hills, MO) -- It was a close call yesterday at a business in Country Club Hills. Police there say a man was driving by the Currency Exchange on West Florissant when he began to have chest pains. He ended up leaving the road, and crashing through the front of the building. The driver was taken to the hospital to be checked out. No one inside was injured.
Solar-Powered Plane Headed To St. Louis
(Undated) -- A solar-powered airplane will make a stop in St. Louis as it attempts to fly from coast to coaSt. The Solar Impulse is the brain child of a Swiss team. It's powered by 12-thousand solar cells which are built into the wings. Since it relies on sunny weather for power, the plane's estimated arrival in St. Louis is late May to early June. The Solar Impulse will also make stops in Phoenix and Dallas before reaching New York City.
Local Gang Members Plead Guilty In Federal Case
(St. Louis, MO) -- Two local gang members plead guilty in a federal case involving drugs and weapons. Twenty-nine-year-old Stanley "Outlaw" Carter faces up to life behind bars while his co-defendant, Antonio "Lips" Shaw, was sentenced to 31-years. Shaw was with Carter when he murdered two members of a rival gang in May of 2008.
Cops Nab One Of Two Metro East Credit Union Robbers
(Swansea, IL) -- Cops nab one of two suspects in a Metro East credit union hold up Tuesday afternoon. The pair robbed Gateway Metro Credit Union in Swansea around four. Officers spotted the getaway car and a chase ensued. One of the men fled after crashing on 33rd Street in Belleville.
St. Louis Postmaster Asks Dog Owners To Be Responsible
(St. Louis, MO) -- The St. Louis Postmaster is asking dog owners to be responsible after a worker was attacked this week. Gwen Moore required stitches when she was bit Monday while delivering mail on Jordan Street in the city. The dog's owner has since apologized for the incident. The animal remains in quarantine.
View New Plans For The Zoo's Expansion

While still in the early stages, it does include the use of the old Forest Park Hospital property, purchased by the Zoo last year. The land extends across I-64 in the Dogtown area. This afternoon's public viewing gets underway at four in the Living World building at the Zoo's north entrance.

(St. Louis, MO) -- Local players are added to the Senior PGA Championship field liSt. Senior golf's most prestigious event will be held May 21st thru the 26th at Bellerive Country Club. Jay Delsing, Brian Fogt and Jerry Tucker were added Tuesday, all three have ties to the St. Louis golfing community.
