Cards Clip Brewers
(Milwaukee, WI) -- Pete Kozma's two-run single capped a six-run third inning and the Cardinals held on to edge the Brewers, 6-5, in the opener of a four-game set. Allen Craig also had a two-run single and later scored in the big inning for the Redbirds, who have won three straight. Jake Westbrook tossed six innings of one-run ball to improve to 2-and-1. Edward Mujica allowed a run in the ninth, but held on for his seventh save. The Cards and Brewers continue the series tonight.
Blues Clip Kings
(St. Louis, MO) -- Backet Jackman scored with 51 seconds to play as the Blues beat the Kings 2-1 in Game Two of their best-of-seven Western Conference quarterfinals. The Blues are up 2-0 in the series. Patrik Berglund found the back of the net earlier in the third period. Brian Elliott made 28 saves for St. Louis, which is in L.A. tomorrow for Game Three.
