Nets Force Game Against Bulls
(Chicago, IL) -- The Nets used a balanced scoring attack to force a deciding Game Seven against the flu-stricken Bulls with a 95-92 win at the United Center. Luol Deng missed the game with an illness, while Nate Robinson and Taj Gibson both played sick. Robinson vomited on the bench during the third quarter. Marco Belinelli scored a game-high 22 points in the loss. Jimmy Butler tallied 17 points with seven rebounds and six assists playing all 48 minutes. Game Seven is on Saturday at the Barclays Center.
Blackhawks Host Wild
(Chicago, IL) -- The Chicago Blackhawks welcome in the Minnesota Wild tonight for Game Two of their best-of-seven Western Conference quarterfinals. The Blackhawks are up 1-0 after defeating the Wild 2-1 in overtime on Tuesday. Game Three is on Sunday in St. Paul.
Blackhawks Raise Season Ticket Prices For 2013-14
(Undated) -- The Chicago Blackhawks have raised season ticket prices for the 2013-14 season. The average increase will be 16 percent. There will be eight different season ticket packages offered. The Hawks also stated their recently announced outdoor game at Soldier Field will not be part of the season tickets.
Padres Rally Past Cubs With Four-Run Eighth
(Chicago, IL) -- Everth Cabrera singled in the go-ahead score in a four-run eighth inning as the Padres rallied for a 4-2 win over the Cubs at Wrigley Field. Welington Castillo's passed ball allowed the tying run to score for San Diego, which earned a split of the four-game series. Travis Wood allowed three runs in seven-and-two-thirds innings to take the loss. Scott Hairston hit a two-run homer for Chicago. The Cubs start a three-game series against Cincinnati today at home.
White Sox Top Texas
(Arlington, TX) -- Tyler Flowers smacked a go-ahead three-run homer in the sixth inning as the White Sox hung on for a 3-1 win over the Rangers in the rubber match of a three-game series in Texas. Alexei Ramirez had two hits and scored a run for Chicago, which has won two in-a-row after a three-game skid. Hector Santiago struck out six over five-and-a-third innings of one-run, two-hit ball as he improved to 1-and-1. Addison Reed closed it out for his 10th save. The Sox begin a three-game series in Kansas City tonight.
Bears Agree With Greene, Wilson
(Undated) -- The Chicago Bears agreed with linebacker Khaseem Greene and wide receiver Marquess Wilson on four-year contracts. Greene was selected 117th overall out of Rutgers last weekend at the NFL Draft. Wilson was taken 236th overall from Washington State. First round selection Kyle Long and second round pick Jonathan Bostic remain unsigned.
