The Story of the Mayflower Pilgrims
Direct line descendents of Miles Standish and John Howland will tell the story of their forefathers’ voyage on the newly charted seas to the new world. Program features Don and Carolyn Dean will present their account of famous voyage and their ancestor’s roll in exploring the new world.
Doors open for a meet and greet with the Deans at 2 p.m. The program will follow at 2:30 and conclude with discussion time.
Interested children are welcome.
This program will be at the Historic Old Knoxville Courthouse, on the Public Square in Knoxville, on Sunday June 9, at 2:30 p.m.
Knox County Historical Sites Inc., established in 1951, manages several historic sites in Knoxville including the historic Courthouse Museum, The Newman School Museum, and the new Knox County Museum in partnership with the City of Knoxville.
The old Knox County Courthouse is fully assessable and there is no charge for the program. The Courthouse Museum, the Old Jail, log cabin and Knox County Museum will also be open to the public.
