The Galesburg Silver Streak softball team started postseason play with a bang yesterday as they blast Dunlap 15-2 in 5 innings at Galesburg High School. The Streaks knocked out 17 hits in total and Kaylee Mesecher was solid in the circle as she allowed only 2 hits, struck out 2 and walked only 5 Eagle batters. Everybody in the Galesburg lineup recorded at least 1 hit with 3 Streak batters getting 3, Bri Brown, Chelsey Howard and Lizzie Terrill. Howard had 3 RBI's. Sydney Williams and Brooke VanHootegem each chipped in with 2 Ribbies apeice. The Silver Streaks will now take on top seeded Metamora later today at 4:30 for a chance to go to the regional championship on Saturday morning. The rest of the regional takes place at IVC High School in Chilicothe.
