A 39-year-old Geneseo man and his 10-year-old son were killed Friday afternoon after they were thrown from a motorcycle in an accident in Colona. The Illinois State Police report around 2pm, the pair were on the motorcyle when a car turned directly in front of the bike on U.S. 6 at Illinois 84.  The driver of the motorcyle Scott Teerlink, was unable to avoid striking the car. Teerlink was pronounced dead at the scene by the Henry County Coroner. 10-year-old Luke was air lifted to a Peoria hospital where he later died. The driver of the car, 81-year-old Joyce Firth of Colona has been cited for an improper turn but police say other charges are pending the investigation.
