Cardinals Hold Down Cubs
(St. Louis, MO) -- Yadier Molina was 2-for-4 with a two-run double to lead the Cardinals in a 5-2 win over the Cubs at Busch Stadium. Shelby Miller tossed five innings of two-hit ball to move to 8-and-4 for St. Louis, which has won two out of three. Edward Mujica recorded the final four outs for his 20th save of the year. The Cards are now 45-and-25 on the year.
Cards, Cubs Resume Series At Busch
(St. Louis, MO) -- The Cardinals and Cubs resume their four-game series from Busch Stadium tonight. Adam Wainwright takes the mound for St. Louis sporting a 10-and-3 record. Chicago counters with Jeff Samardzija, who is just 3-and-7 but carries a 3.46 ERA. First pitch is scheduled for 7:15.
Salas To Start Rehab At Memphis
(Memphis, TN) -- Cardinals reliever Fernando Salas is expected to start his rehab assignment at Triple-A Memphis today. Salas has been on the disabled list since May 21st with shoulder inflammation. The right-hander pitched to a 3.86 ERA in 15 appearances for the Cards this year. Rehab assignments can last up to 30 days.
Rask Powers Bruins To Win Over Blackhawks
(Boston, MA) -- Tuukka [[ TOO-kuh ]] Rask stopped all 28 shots he faced to lead the Bruins in a 2-0 victory over the Blackhawks in Game Three of the Stanley Cup Final. Rask's third shutout of the postseason gives Boston a two games to one lead in the best-of-seven set. Corey Crawford turned away 33 shots for 'Hawks. Game Four is Wednesday in Boston.
U.S. Men Face Honduras Tonight
(Sandy, UT) -- The U.S. Men's National Team faces Honduras in a World Cup Qualifier tonight from Utah. The Americans are coming off last week's 2-0 victory over Panama and sit atop the CONCACAF qualifying group with ten points, two better than Costa Rica and Mexico. Honduras is next with seven points. Tonight's match gets underway at 8:00.
