(Columbia, IL)  --  A Columbia man is in police custody after allegedly stabbing his ex-girlfriend to death.  Jordan Kuykendall is accused of stabbing Erin Schneider multiple times in her torso and neck, the same day her order of protection against him might’ve become permanent.   Schneider’s body was discovered last Thursday in a home on Riebeling Street.   She would’ve been a senior in high school this year.  Instead, she’ll be laid to rest at 10 a.m. this morning at Quernheim Funeral Home in Columbia.

>>Biting Monkey Now In State Custody

(Godfrey, IL)  --  The monkey that bit a young boy at Glazebrook Park in Godfrey is now in state custody.  Madison County State's Attorney Tom Gibbons argued successfully Friday that the state should take custody of the animal because people aren’t allowed to own primates in Illinois.   The monkey was quarantined after the incident last month, but problems arose with the temporary aspect of its housing.  Gibbons says the St. Louis Zoo has agreed to take the monkey and find her a new home that meets the requirements of the Dangerous Animal Act.
