(Chicago, IL) -- Yadier Molina's three-run homer capped a four-run ninth inning as the Cardinals beat the Cubs 10-6 at Wrigley Field. Molina went 4-for-6 and drove in four with three runs for St. Louis, which has won seven out of nine. Allen Craig was 4-for-5 and had the go-ahead RBI single prior to Molina's blast in the ninth. Pete Kozma was 3-for-6 and knocked in two while Edward Mujica pitched the final inning-and-a-third for the win. Darwin Barney went 3-for-4 with a three-run homer and four RBI for Chicago, which has lost three out of five. Cody Ransom tied the game with a pinch-hit two-run double in the eighth. Kevin Gregg was tagged for all four late runs to suffer the loss. Both teams return to action on Friday.

(Flushing, NY) -- The St. Louis Cardinals and Chicago Cubs are off for the All-Star Break until Friday. The Cards are in first place while the Cubs are in fourth place in the National League Central. Catcher Yadier Molina and outfielder Carlos Beltran are starting for the NL. The Cards also have starter Adam Wainwright, first baseman Allen Craig and second baseman Matt Carpenter on the team. Wainwright will not play due to his start last night. He was replaced by teammate Edward Mujica. Starter Travis Wood is the lone Cub representative. The National League has won three straight over the American League.

(Flushing, NY) -- Matt Davidson crushed a go-ahead two-run homer in the fourth inning to power the U.S. past the World 4-2 in the Futures Game from Citi Field. The Arizona Diamondbacks prospect was named the MVP as the U.S. side won its fourth straight over the World. Kolten Wong of the St. Louis Cardinals was 1-for-2 with a steal for the Americans. Arismendy Alcantara from the Chicago Cubs system lifted a solo homer in defeat.
