>>Wacha And Peterson Shine In All-Star Game
(Reno, NV) -- The International League defeated the Pacific Coast League, 4-3, in the Triple-A All-Star Game from Reno, Nevada. St. Louis prospects Brock Peterson and Michael Wacha shined despite the loss. Peterson was 1-for-2 with an RBI, while Wacha pitched one-and-two-thirds scoreless innings on his way the PCL's "Top Star" Award.

(Denver, CO) -- The Chicago Cubs start the second half of the season on the road. The Cubs play the first of three games in Colorado against the Rockies tomorrow night. The Cubs send Jeff Samardzija to the hill opposite Jorge De La Rosa. Chicago is 42-and-51 so far this season.

(Undated) -- The Davey O'Brien Foundation announced its 2013 watch list on Wednesday. The award is given annually to the nation's best college quarterback. Missouri Tigers signal-caller James Franklin is among 34 QBs to be named to the list. Franklin had 10 touchdowns against seven interceptions in nine games last season.
