Reds Clip Cubs In 11 Innings
(Chicago, IL) -- Shin-Soo Choo hit a two-run single in the top of the 11th inning to lift the Reds past the Cubs 6-4 in the middle of a three-game set at Wrigley Field. Nate Schierholtz smacked a two-run homer and Dioner Navarro and Donnie Murphy added solo shots for the Cubs, who have dropped three straight. Eduardo Sanchez suffered his first loss of the year.

White Sox Sneak By Tigers In Extras
(Chicago, IL) -- Alejandro De Aza hit a one-run single in the bottom of the 11th that gave the White Sox a 4-3 win over the Tigers at U.S. Cellular Field. Chicago has taken the first two of the three-game set. Avisail Garcia knocked in two, while reliever Addison Reed picked up his fifth win.

(Chicago, IL) -- The White Sox shoot for a three-game sweep of the first-place Tigers this afternoon. Chicago has won three of four to move to 46-and-72. John Danks, who is 2-and-9, gets the ball for Chicago. Detroit counters with Rick Porcello.
Paul Konerko Placed On Waivers
(Chicago, IL) -- Paul Konerko is available to any team that wants him. FOX Sports reports the White Sox have placed the slugging first baseman on waivers. Konerko can veto any deal thanks to his ten-and-five rights. The 37-year-old is owed 3.25-million-dollars the remainder of the season. Konerko has seen a decrease in production this year, hitting only .243 with nine homers in 87 games this season.
Bears Scott Close To Return
(Bourbonnais, IL) -- The Bears offensive line depth should be improving in the near future. It was learned tackle Jonathan Scott has no structural damage and he had his knee drained. He should be back on the practice field soon. Chicago is currently working with Jermon Bushrod at left tackle and rookie Jordan Mills at right tackle on the first team.
Marshall And Peppers To Play Thursday
(Bourbonnais, IL) -- When the first team Bears take the field tomorrow against the Chargers, they will be more like the team we expect to see in the regular season. Wide receiver Brandon Marshall and defensive Julius Peppers are both expected to play after they sat out the opener. Defensive end Corey Wootton should also see action.
Sparks Clip Sky
(Los Angeles, CA) -- Candace Parker posted 18 points and seven rebounds to lead the Sparks past the Sky, 80-76. Chicago was outscored by six points in the fourth quarter as the Sky fell to 15-and-7. They face the Storm in Seattle tomorrow.
