This is breast cancer awareness month and a new study suggests that older women who walk on a regular basis may lower their risk for breast cancer.  Researchers with the American Cancer Society found that postmenopausal women who walked for at least an hour each day had a 14-percent lower chance of getting breast cancer than women who walked less.  More vigorous exercise was linked to an even lower risk.  The study can't prove walking prevented any cancers.  However, the researchers say walking may affect a woman's hormones, insulin resistance, weight and other factors linked to breast cancer risk.
