--  Hundreds of dead Asian Carp have washed up on the banks of the Spoon River, near Bernadotte.  The fish may have died as a result of a train derailment that spilled more than 17-thousand gallons of corn-syrup into the River, back on September 16th.  Six tanker cars plunged into the water after a trestle bridge collapsed.  Iowa-based Keokuk Junction Railway owns and operates sections of the tracks where the derailment occurred.  Attorney General Lisa Madigan wants a court to hold the railway company liable for cleaning up the spill, which she says has the potential to contaminate the water and cause further harm.
