Bears Finalize Plans For G-Men
(Lake Forest, IL) -- The Bears will finalize their gameplan today for tomorrow night's game against the New York Giants. Chicago has dropped two straight after starting the year 3-and-0. The G-Men are one of four winless teams in the NFL and come in at 0-and-5. New York won the last meeting between this teams back in 2010.
Bears' Marshall To "Go Green" On Thursday
(Lake Forest, IL) -- Bears wideout Brandon Marshall will be "going green" during tomorrow's game against the Giants by wearing green shoes to promote awareness for mental illness. Marshall has also promised to double the fine that is sure to come from the NFL for violating the uniform policy. He also intends to donate to a cancer-care charity.
Bears Could Play In London Next Year
(Undated) -- A trip to London could be in the cards for the Bears next season. The NFL has announced that the Atlanta Falcons are one of three teams that will "host" games at Wembley Stadium next year, and Chicago is scheduled to visit Atlanta as a part of the rotation. It would be the Bears' second game in London in four years.

Yankees Want Girardi Decision
(Bronx, NY) -- The Yankees say they want an answer from Joe Girardi. Yanks owner Hal Steinbrenner spoke on "The Michael Kay Show" on ESPN New York 98.7 FM on Tuesday and says he wants to resolve the issue of Girardi's contract "sooner rather than later." The Cubs are reportedly interested in having Girardi replace Dale Sveum.
Cubs Bring Back Sweeney
(Chicago, IL) -- The Cubs are bringing back outfielder Ryan Sweeney. MLB.com reports the 28-year-old has signed a two-year deal worth three-and-a-half million dollars. Sweeney batted .266 with six homers and 19 RBI for Chicago last season. He started the year at Triple-A Iowa before being recalled in May.
Former Cubs Outfielder Dies
(Chicago, IL) -- Famous Cubs outfielder Andy Pafko has passed away. The 92-year-old died in a nursing home in Stevensville, Michigan yesterday. Pafko started his professional baseball career with the Cubs back in 1943 and played on the 1945 World Series team. He was named to the Cubs’ All-Century team in 1999.
Sox To Play At Birmingham Next Spring
(Birmingham, AL) -- The White Sox will play an exhibition in March against the Double-A Birmingham Barons of the Southern League. The contest will take place March 28th at Regions Field, three days before the regular season opener against the Twins. The teams last played an exhibition in Birmingham in 2007.
Blackhawks Meet Blues Tonight
(St. Louis, MO) -- The Blackhawks skate against the Blues in St. Louis tonight. Chicago is 1-0-and-1 over its first couple of games. St. Louis sits at 2-and-0 after a couple of impressive wins. Tonight's game starts at 7:00 p.m. and will air nationally on the NBC Sports Network.
Bulls Waive Swingman Jones
(Deerfield, IL) -- The Bulls have waived swingman Dahntay Jones. He originally signed with Chicago as a free agent late last month. The Bulls training camp roster is now down to 15 players. Chicago is off to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and will play a preseason game against the Washington Wizards on Saturday.
Northwestern At Wisconsin This Weekend
(Evanston, IL) -- Northwestern will try to bounce back from a tough loss this weekend in Madison. The Wildcats travel to face Wisconsin on Saturday afternoon. Northwestern fell to 4-and-1 in its Big Ten opening loss to Ohio State last week. The Badgers are 3-and-2 with a 1-and-1 conference record. The 'Cats kick things off at 2:30 on Saturday.
Fire In Search Of Playoff Spot
(Bridgeview, IL) -- The Fire head to Texas this weekend in an attempt to better their playoff standing. Chicago meets FC Dallas on Saturday night at Toyota Stadium. The Fire are currently two points back of the Philadelphia Union for the final playoff spot with three matches to play. Chicago ends the year at home against Toronto and at New York.
NASCAR Heads To NC
(Concord, NC) -- NASCAR's Chase for the Sprint Cup heads home to North Carolina this weekend for the Bank of America 500 at Charlotte Motor Speedway. With just six races remaining in the Chase, Matt Kenseth holds a slim three-point lead on Jimmie Johnson. Kevin Harvick is 25 points back of Kenseth and in third.
